Happy Anniversary!

6 years ago today, Matt and I were married in the Los Angeles temple for time and all eternity. Since then we have lived in 5 different homes, had 4 different cars, 3 pet rats, 2 beautiful girls, and 1 rocking time to show for it :) We have been on some great anniversary trips that began with our honeymoon to Hawaii and have taken us to Park City, the Bahama's, Zions, Vegas, Texas, and Corpus Christi. Being married to Matt has been an adventure for me, full of laughs and never a dull moment. I am grateful for his sense of humor, optimistic attitude and 'take it like it's yours' spirit. Happy Anniversary to us :)

Rikki's Visit

My sister Rikki came to visit last week. We had TONS of fun and I took her to just about every Austin attraction I could think of. We even made it down to San Antonio for a day. It was so great to have an extra set of helping hands and a good friend to chat with for the week. Thanks for coming Rikki!

Here are the highlights in photos :)

Sitting on the grass watching the Round Rock Express baseball game.

The Children's Museum

Corpus Christi

Last weekend Matt's awesome Mom came to town. We love when Katie comes to visit, and even more so this trip because she watched our girls while we escaped for a weekend trip to Corpus Christi. Our 6 year anniversary is coming up this weekend, and we haven't missed a trip yet around our anniversary so we took advantage of Grammi's visit to celebrate.

So let's just say when you are using a GPS, make sure you put the right city in, otherwise you may be end up in the ghetto wondering where in the world your hotel is and wondering if you're gonna get jumped before you find it!

After our little GPS problem we drove through Corpus and on to Port Aransas where we stayed the night. Port Aransas is a tiny little beach town outside of Corpus, it was perfect for a quiet day!

The second day we checked out the Corpus Christi bay which included stops at the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. We also swam in the lagoon they call the ocean.

Taking the ferry to get to Port Aransas.
I found this whole ferry thing to be very entertaining. I mean, who's idea is it to ferry all these cars back and forth every day, build a bridge for crying out loud!

Checking out the animals at the Aquarium.
Waiting for the dolphin show to start.

Big guns on the USS Lexington.

It was a perfect weekend and we are so grateful to Katie for helping us make it happen!

Happy Mother's Day

Where would we be without Mother's? Where would I be without my Mother? I just want to say THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU to my mother, and my mother-in-law who have both impacted my life so significantly I can not begin to describe. I have been truly blessed with 2 wonderful women to fill those roles for me and am eternally grateful to them! Happy Mother's Day!

Stay tuned for more blog posts this week! Lots of pictures to come :)
