Cruise 2011

For at least a year (maybe longer), I have been obsessed with going on a cruise. I decided I was going to go and begged and pleaded everyone I knew to come with me. Matt had way too much going on with school and work this year, so I knew I'd have to make it a girls trip. Turns out my awesome sister Rikki came to my rescue and wanted to come too. We booked out cruise back in May, and have been anxiously waiting for November!

This past week we jumped on the Carnival Triumph and headed to Progresso & Cozumel Mexico for one of the best trips ever!
We booked the cheapest room there was, which came with bunkbeads. It actually worked out pretty good for the two of us.
At the pier in Galveston.
Relaxing, enjoying the easy life!
The ship had a cool water slide, and lots of deck chairs to lay out.
The food was really great. Lobster and shrimp tasted better than it looks.
Every night we headed to the dining room to eat with our retired friends. It started to amuse Rikki and I that we were always eating with elderly people. They always had great tips on how to cruise right though!
Progresso Mexico was a small fishing village. The town is trying to reinvent itself to be a touristy area, but is still a very small older looking Mexican town.
Another Progresso pier shot, with our super cool ship.
Dzilbilchaltun, our Mayan ruins excursion.
The sink hole at the Mayan Ruins. Rikki and I jumped in with the fish, it was awesome!
This was a summer solstice temple.
Cozumel Mexico, definitely more hustle and bustle than Progresso. I was impressed with how clean it was. We shopped till we almost dropped!
On the pier at Cozumel.
Rikki and her new best friend.
Hot spot for spring breakers, Senor Frogs!
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.
The beach in Cozumel was gorgeous and so warm!
Lunch, chocolate swans and pepsi light :)
In Cozumel I go this cute cover up. All day Friday we laid out in the sun and I made good use of my swimsuit and the sunshine!
Sipping a Pina Colada and Strawberry Daquiri during a comedy show.

So those are a few of my favorites. I'll post the rest (and you can catch Rikki's too) on Facebook. Definitly a vacation to remember
