Long Trip=Lots of Pictures

Hello Blogger friends, did you miss us? We've been traveling the country and I have a few pictures to show for it. Truth is I really didn't take as many pictures as I should have, but here are a few.

I uploaded them in a random order, and that's just how this post is going to be, so you'll have to pay attention. Or just enjoy the pictures and don't try and follow the story :)

The ultimate reason for the trip was for my younger sister Amanda, who married Kyler Anderson on March 12th, 2010. Alexis was a flower girl at the wedding.

The happy couple cutting their cake. The original cake lady's husband passed away a few days before the wedding, needless to say making Amanda's cake wasn't on her list of priorities that week. We did consider transporting the cake from Lynnie's house in SLC (she's my good friend who makes awesome cakes) to St George. But in the end Wal-Mart came to the rescue, and I actually impressed with the finished product.

The Daddy-Daughter dance, the one and only time I have ever seen my Dad cry. Practically the whole room choked up...that is until the music cut out. And that's my brother John in the background, that was pretty much his pose all weekend. He had to give his new camera a work out.
When Amanda and Kyler were dancing, Lexi wanted to get in on the action as well. She asked my cousin Shara's son to dance and pretty much ran circles around him. It was too cute.

This is my Dad's mother, Grandma Kay, and his sister, Aunt Karen. They live in Sacramento, and we do not see each other all that often, so it was great to visit with them. Aunt Karen also came with my two sisters and I out for a pedicure one afternoon, she's my kind of woman!

Lexi and her cousin Kensley. These two were great friends all weekend. Lexi insisted on playing ponies, they swam, went to the park, and ran around together at the reception. Lexi was particularly excited to have a cousin that can talk. When I tell her about a new person we are going to meet, she always asks if they can talk, I guess that's how she discerns if they are big enough to play with her or not.

At the Las Vegas airport--due to mechanical issues, we got to spend 5 hours in the Las Vegas airport.
Matt's angry face.
Lexi watched a lot of her 'my little pony' movie that day, and I tried not to cry...too much. After our 5 hours in Vegas, they flew us to LAX. Where my SIL Tamara picked us up, took us home, fed us dinner, and took us back for our midnight flight to Austin. Tamara is by far the number one person on my list of favorites this month. Doug too, he had picked Matt up from the Long Beach airport 4 days prior when his flight sent him to Long Beach, and left him to fend for himself for a 10:30pm-6:30am layover. Doug and Tamara, you guys ROCK!!

Back to pictures of the wedding. Lexi might be a rascal, but she sure is cute!

And Brooklynn should win an award for this picture, I just love it! When Lexi walked in the room after I had got Brooklynn dressed, she said 'oh she is a Princess'. All day long when Brooklynn cried or fussed, Lexi would tell me, 'Mom, the princess is sad'. Too cute.

We spent a week at my Mom's house between our arrival and the wedding. Lexi spent many hours on JoMama's lap listening to whatever story my mom could think of. Plus we all caught a deathly cold right before we left and she wasn't up to her full maniac potential.

Brooklynn also spent a lot of time with JoMama. My mom has helped encourage her to start rolling from front to back and scooting along on the floor.

And here is Grandpa Webb meeting our little one for the first time.

So that's all I got as far as pictures go, but we did spend 2 days in LA--pretty much trying to survive our cold. I did sneak in visits with all our LA cousins, a massage, and dinner with my BFF Cara. Then I rented a car and drove from LA to St George with my two girls, who were champs! Went through the temple with Amanda for her first time and attended a bridal shower. Drove to SLC and got a haircut from Sheena, had play group with all my good SLC friends at Artic Circle, and swimming at my parents hotel with cousins. Attended the sealing, and back to St George for the reception, and overnight at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Vegas before our horrendous adventure home!

Whew, that was a lot of pics and a lot of information. Thanks for sticking with me, and hopefully future posts will be better organized and more concise.

I think that you should be finished with airports for a little while. I am glad that you are back, and that you are not sick anymore.

It looks like fun seeing all your family and friends. I had no idea about the cake, I am happy to see that you were able to come up with something that worked for everyone in the end. Walmart huh, well that was a happy surprise.

I love the girls dresses they look so cute, and how fun to see Lexi dancing with and around her cousins, that is the Lexi we know and love. Welcome back! (a few weeks late).
