I am grateful for a lot of things. I am especially grateful for my daughter and the little ways she lightens my life. She has a lot of silly quarks that make me laugh, smile, and sometimes want to pull my hair out. These are my top ten:
1. Whenever I get out of the shower, Lexi comes running from where ever she is in the house to ask me "Had a nice shower mom?"
2. When I go in to get her in the morning, she lets me know she had a 'nice sleeping', and wants to know if I had a 'nice sleeping' too.
3. She loves to sing, and she's getting so good at remembering the words. Her favorites are the ones with actions (monkeys jumping on the bed, little ducks out to play, etc)
4. 4 times last week I was reminded how lucky I was to have her as we sailed past thousands of cars in the carpool lane.
5. Her memory amazes me every day, that girl picks up on EVERYTHING.
6. When I ask her 'what does Lexi say', she promptly replies with 'I wuv you mom'.
7. She can count to 10, but she almost always forgets 4... it makes me smile.
8. She eats oatmeal everyday for breakfast, and will still eat it even if I mix in prunes, as long as I tell her it's chocolate yogurt.
9. She absolutely LOVES her dad, and sings the 'I'm so glad when Daddy gets home' song every day. I love the part when she pats his cheeck, it's usually more of a slap then a pat.
10. She is very interested in names. She knows all her friends and my friends names. She is always asking 'what's her name mom' to people and objects, she just likes words and knowing what something is called.

Ok, what is it with toddlers and the number 4? Caleb ALWAYS skips 4 when he counts, and if we correct him then he'll say 4 and skip 5 instead. And someone else told me their 2-year-old skips 4 as well. What a strange phenomenon. :)
Love that little girl. It makes me smile just to read about all those cute things. She's so adorable. I'm so thankful for her too!!
Oh, it is so fun to see all the cute things she is doing! I cannot believe how fast they grow. It's like we were sitting in my cubicle yesterday and you were telling me you were pregnant! Then you had this teeny babe, and all of a sudden she is so smart and talks so well!
(Oh, and sorry that I haven't been a good commenter lately! I usually have two kids on my lap while I check blogs on one half of the screen, and play elmo on the other half!)
