I took the scouts winter camping, and when I say scouts, I mean one scout. The others had very solid excuses, like, "I have to go to a birthday party Saturday afternoon," and "I don't like the cold, and my dad says I don't have to go."
We actually ended up having a pretty good time, and I have a new respect and appreciation for Dave Forster, who taught me tons of lessons over the weekend. Thanks Dave.
Dave and Tim dug holes under the picnic benches while I spent considerably more time digging out my very first snow cave. Here are some pictures and video.
