Getting bigger, and smarter too!

I think it is SO amazing how smart kids are. Lexi is to that 'I'm gonna imitate everything Mom does' stage. Of course, that is not just Mom, she'll do it with Dad. Grandma, or any old kid on the playground. She is a surprisingly cautious little girl, especially for all the energy she has. One example of this is whenever we are at the playground she'll climb her way to the top of the slide, but then look around for Mom or Dad to give her a hand to slide to the bottom. She wont go down on her own without that little bit of support, that is until today! We were at the Artic Circle playground earlier this week with our ward playgroup, and the first couple of times she went down the slide she would look for me to help her out, but then she watched her good buddy Ian going down the slide all by himself, and off she went. I thought that was kind of neat for her to see the other kids, and it finally click that she can do it by herself too! Fortunatly for us, that rolled over to all the slides at the playground, and she goes down all by herself now. Lexi loves the playground too! I took the camera with me today so I could post some cute pictures for all of you, however when we got there, I realized the batteries were dead...bummer! So maybe if it is warm enough to go next week, I'll post some then!
